Lita Rossana Ford is born in the United Kingdom and was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter. In the latter part of the 70s, she was a lead guitar for the hard-rocking all-girl band The Runaways. While the group did not have much success in the United States, they were hugely popular in other countries. This was especially true in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career following the band's was disbanded in 1979. Her debut album as a solo artist was called 'Dancin' on the Edge, followed by her record Out for Blood. Ford failed to make much with either album and disappeared from the world of rock for about an entire decade. In 1988, she came back to the world of music with an amazing album titled 'Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both quickly became huge hit. However, the success of her career wasn't last long and after a few years she disappeared. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later she returned. 2016 saw the release of her most recent studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
