Zoe-perry
Perry is she is Chicago native she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. One of her first TV performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed her role. However, her parents did not permit her to perform until she reached the age of adulthood because of the impact stress might be able to have on their daughter. Perry, who was too shy to be a part of the theater in her school, began to perform at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry went on to New York, where she landed small roles in series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness led Perry her back home California, where theater jobs were readily available. Perry performed with her mom as part of The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. In 2015 she performed alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on the ABC film The Family, in 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. The same year, she appeared as a younger version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother as a young version. She was cast in the role despite having a close familial connection to the character.
